Dragonflies

Again, just playing around at home, since my car doesn’t like the snow and I’ve been stuck at home. Tried a little zoom panning on a light in our kitchen, I like how it turned out actually, next I’ll have to try it with a model in the shot 🙂

Japanese Maple in the Winter

I shot this the other night, just playing out in the snow. Shot with a 430ex speedlight in my hand behind the tree at full power popped 4 times, 2 on each side of the tree.

Playing outside in the snow, thought the lights looked pretty cool. Turned it into an hdr to make the lights in the snow not blow out and to bring some detail back.

Fort Worden Round 2

Posted in Photography with tags , , , on December 11, 2008 by davidputman

Went back to the fort today, mostly just to scout out where to shoot and get more info from the park rangers, like how its going to cost $100 to get a permit to shoot there! Damn, but it’ll be worth it, oh yes, it will. But back to today, shot a couple more texture shots, enjoy!

Chopped Print (working)

Posted in Photography with tags , , on December 10, 2008 by davidputman

So I had the fancy idea last week of cutting up a print into squares and stringing it together, and instead of doing my usual “oh thats a cool idea I need to try it sometime,” I actually did it! Its still in progress, as of right now it is sitting on the drying rack, but heres a quick preview of it after it came out of the water! Its a 20×24 print of a type 55 neg I shot a couple months ago. Next challenge, actually string it all together!

Well for the first post, lets start with something new! Shot these about a week ago out in Port Townsend on an excursion with a few friends. Such an amazing location, expect an editorial sometime very soon! (hopefully)

Enjoy!
